A WRITER'S BLOCK

In Napoli, we say: 'a notte porta cunziglio, the night brings advice. It’s not laziness, nor indecision, but the art of letting things breathe. Why rush to close a thought when you can leave the door open and see who, or what, walks in tomorrow morning?

With A Writer’s Block, we decided to pay tribute to this generous pause. To doubt. Not as emptiness, but as abundance, as possibility. A place for those who enjoy asking questions more than giving answers. After all, doubt is where every creative thought is born.

The campaign for FW25 does not unfold in one single place. Or maybe it does. We’re not entirely sure.

It could be set in a snowy forest. The protagonists stand among the trees, coats cutting through the silence. Maybe it’s the beginning of something. Maybe there’s only too much snow.

Or perhaps outside a café in Paris, sometime in the 1960s. Wicker chairs, cups left half full, the street alive around them. It feels like cinema. Or maybe not.

A library is another possibility. Books fall, eyes meet, a moment stretches longer than it should. The usual story, seen a thousand times.

And then a party. Lights, music, bodies in motion, clothes catching the rhythm. It could be joy, or chaos disguised as elegance. Either way, the night moves on.

Forest, café, library, party. Each a possibility, none definitive. Perhaps the answer will come tomorrow. Or perhaps tomorrow will only add another scene. 

After all…’a notte porta cunziglio.
